Studio : GET DRAWING!

Workshops

19 November 2025 – 31 August 2026

Designed as a space for quiet and relaxation, the Studio is also a window onto the Louvre’s collection, inviting exploration and presenting all visitors with an opportunity to give free rein to their creativity.

The Studio offers a variety of self-guided activities, inspired by the museum’s artworks. These activities celebrate the art of drawing, which plays a key role both in the Louvre’s collection and in the fine arts.

Help yourself to the materials and tools provided to experiment, trace, sketch out, pencil in, draft and draw – depict the world around you and tell your story.

Late openings

The Studio will be closed during the additional evening openings on 22, 27, 28, and 29 December 2025 and Saturday 3 January 2026.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Activities :

  • Carbon Copy

Use the light table to trace each shape and create a realistic drawing!

  • Colour the sky

Using the artworks as inspiration, take up a piece of chalk and trace, colour in, rub, create layers and add your art to everyone else’s to make colours and clouds appear in the sky.

  • Strike a pose

Sit down at an easel and take your time observing the model. Look at their proportions, the shapes and the lines that make up their body. With a crayon sketch out the model’s whole body – or just a part.

  • The superpowers of drawing

Using the activity worksheets provided, choose from the tools at your disposal, play with their different techniques and delve into the superpowers of drawing.
