Every year, millions of visitors stroll the Tuileries Garden. Its benches have witnessed many stories and encounters. In order to improve visitor experience and provide more seating, in 2024 the Louvre embarked on a project aiming to restore and recreate the historical benches that have been present in the Tuileries Garden since the 19th century. More benches means more comfort and more shared moments!

The Tuileries Garden benches sponsorship campaign has now ended. Thanks to broad donor participation, every bench was successfully sponsored and will find its rightful place in the garden. Over the course of the next few months, inscribed plaques will be attached to the benches’ backrests so that each donor can visit their own dedicated bench.

The Musée du Louvre extends its warmest thanks to each and every donor for their precious support of the Tuileries Garden.
